For almost my entire adult life, this enterprise has been a significant part of my identity. I started this business in 2009 at the age of 22 after a few years gaining experience in the architectural field as well as in construction. I knew from an early age I wanted my career to be involved in home construction.
My father was a well-recognized site superintendent across the city who showed me the ins-and-outs of home construction on many of his job sites. While I have no hesitancy toward swinging a hammer, I knew early in life that I wanted to be more on the creative side of things. After gaining valued experience working on house framing crews in the summers during high school, I turned my focus toward architectural studies and blended the two to create what is now STB Home Design.
